I admit I am often tempted by the emails offering awesome items at seemingly great prices but "thankfully" I am often too slow to ever visit the site before the item is sold out. It helps me feel a little more connected to the big city living I left behind (smile).

What we need...
To be honest, I believe the number of mom friends one has directly correlates to the sanity a woman keeps after having children. Think about it, does anything feel better in a stressful parenting situation then hearing another mom say "Been there, done that, and survived"? It is those thoughts that have brought me to my newest project, organizing a group for mothers locally to be a source of support, encouragement, advice, and overall companionship to each other.
Perhaps it is the transient nature of the area that has made such a group absent in the past. Yes there are meet up groups and play dates but a structured and organized collaboration can open up so many doors before left untouched. My vision of what we could be includes play dates at the beach, park, and museums to interest groups such as cooking and books, and even joining forces for some killer yard sales. Above all, it is most important to have a nonjudgmental sounding board and advice source in these crazy lives we lead. We all have something to offer each other and just need outlet to offer it!
The next steps in the process are:
- come up with a name
- gather interest
- start meeting
Please email me if you are interested in joining so I can compile an email notification list or to comment with any suggestions or ideas you may have or email me!
